The following was approved at Utsunomiya University Information Processing Center Steering Committee on July 25, 1997:

• Information shall be presented with its author’s real name in order to clarify the responsibilities.
• No person shall use another person’s account (i.e., user name and password) without permission, nor allow someone to use his/her own account.
• No person shall infringe Intellectual property rights (copyrights), portrait rights, etc.
• No person shall defame any other person or invade his/her privacy.
• No person shall post any obscene language or image, or any other item that are offensive to public order and morals.
• No person shall use discriminatory expressions against someone’s physical, educational, ethnic, religious, sexual or any other characteristics.
• No person shall express his/her support for or denunciation of any particular political or religious activities.
• No person shall use this website for the purposes of gaining profit or carrying out commercial activities.
• Every person shall strive to maintain a network environment that is pleasant for every user, and therefore shall not abuse or waste the network resources by destroying others’ files or unduly uploading/downloading a large volume of data.
